Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 17, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information MadProps collects, how we use it, and the third parties we share it with so we can provide the Service. By using MadProps, you agree to this policy.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: Your email address, display name, and authentication identifiers when you sign up or sign in.
- Optional API keys: If you choose to connect your own Google Gemini API key, we store it in encrypted form so we can use it on your behalf.
- Content you create: Scenes, props, folders, placements, prompts, and any uploaded reference images or battlemaps.
- Usage and credit data: Records of generation actions you perform, credit balance, and credit transactions.
- Technical data: Browser user-agent strings on certain attested actions (such as accepting our policies).
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and operate the Service (storing your scenes, props, and placements)
- Generate and edit AI imagery using your prompts and uploaded references
- Authenticate you and maintain your session
- Track and meter credit usage for fair access to AI features
- Communicate with you about service issues, policy changes, and abuse reports
4. Sub-processors We Share Data With
To run the Service, we share necessary data with the following sub-processors:
- Lovable Cloud: Hosts our database, authentication, file storage, and serverless functions. All scenes, props, placements, and uploaded images live in Lovable Cloud storage.
- Google (Gemini API): Receives prompts and reference images you supply for AI scene and prop generation. AI outputs from Google may include an embedded SynthID watermark.
- PhotoRoom: Receives prop images for automated background removal when you use PhotoRoom-backed cutout features.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your uploaded images to train our own models.
5. Storage and Retention
- Account data and content you create are retained while your account is active.
- Uploaded scene images and generated images are stored until you delete the corresponding scene or prop, or request account deletion.
- Orphaned files in our storage buckets are periodically removed by an automated cleanup process.
- Debug and reference uploads (such as battlemap and style-guide refs) may be retained briefly for troubleshooting and then removed.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
MadProps uses browser local storage to maintain your sign-in session. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Your Rights
You can request access to, export of, or deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (such as GDPR or CCPA), including the right to object to or restrict certain processing.
8. Children
MadProps is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Do not use the Service if you do not meet the minimum age.
9. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage of sensitive secrets (such as API keys), and strict row-level access controls. No system is perfectly secure; you upload at your own risk.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new version number, and you will be prompted to re-accept the relevant attestation the next time you upload an image.
